Director of the Archaeological Park of Ercolano, is an archaeologist of MiBAC with a long experience as museum director gained at the Archaeological Museum and Theatre of the ancient  Teanum  Sidicinum, the ancient Allifae Archaeological Museum, the Archaeological Museum and Circuit of sites of Ancient Capua,  the Archaeological Parks of Baia and Cuma. His priority research activities are: greco-roman archaeology, study of image and material culture. Among his professional experiences we can mention the planning of excavation interventions, restoration and enhancement of the archaeological heritage, management and monitoring of complex administrative procedures. Further areas of interest are cataloguing of cultural assets, safeguard, management of interinstitutional agreements including the involvement of third-sector associations and private subjects.

Dr. Sirano has achieved the qualification of ordinary university professor in France at Universitè Paris – Sorbonne. He is also a corresponding member of the Germanic Archaeological Institute of Berlin.
