Director Pottery Museum
Wang Jinxian, born in Qinghai Province in 1976. He has worked in Qinghai Library since 1997 and then in the Painted Pottery Museum of Liuwan. He is now the director of the Painted Pottery Museum of Liuwan, associate researcher and board member of the Chinese Museums Association. Has been engaged in cultural work in Qinghai for many years. He has played an active role in promoting and developing excellent Qinghai culture which has distinctive regional characteristics. Dedicated in the his career in the museum, he is now the youngest expert on cultural relics and museums of Qinghai province, as well as the youngest director of a provincial-level museum. He has fully utilized the the National Patriotic Education Demonstration Base and the National Social Science Education Base, strengthened the protection of cultural relics, organized cultural exchange activities and spared no efforts in promoting the knowledge of and research on painted pottery. In recent years, he has toured an exhibition on the painted pottery of Qinghai in over ten provincial level museums, held an exhibition entitled “The painted pottery in the eyes of kids–Exhibition of Children’s Paintings of Qinghai Province”, set up education practice base for teenagers on painted pottery culture of Qinghai in six schools, created a new mode forcooperation between museums and schools. He has organized two national level symposiums on the protection of and academic research on painted pottery, actively engaged in the cultural creative industry, and set up cultural creative products chain stores. In September 2018, the Painted Pottery Museum of Liuwanis listed as one of the national second grade museums of China.
